PROFILE | Rohingya Youth Association
(RYA), Malaysia
1. Introduction
All praises are due to Allah! His blessings and Mercy be upon His prophet, his companions, and followers!
Rohingyas
in Arakan today are facing an extremely disastrous situation and subjected to
Genocide. Subsequently, they have apparently no future and hence their future
is in limbo. Having realized the critically important role that the youths have
to play for the betterment of the whole community, on 14th May 2013,
around 20 like-minded Rohingya youths had a discussion in Kuala Lumpur and
decided to establish a formally youth body named Rohingya Youth Association
(RYA). Some purposes behind its formation are to accelerate movements for
the Welfare of Rohingya Community and Rohingya Youth Development.
In
doing so, we aim to join hands with other Myanmar Muslim Organizations and the
organizations that are fighting for the rights of Muslims in Myanmar.
